वर्तमान विग्रह एवं विसंगतियों का कारण भी आध्यात्मिक विचारधारा का विरोध ही है। पश्चिम में थैलस से लेकर ह्वाइटहेड तक तथ पूर्व में ऋग्वेद के ऋषिओं से लेकर महर्षि अरविंद तक दर्शन अनुभव प्रधान रहा है, परंतु ये अनुभव इंद्रियों की सीमाओं में सिमटे रहे, यह जरूरी नहीं। इनकी सीमा का विस्तार अतींद्रिय होना भी संभव है, बल्कि आज की परिस्थिति में तार्किक प्रत्यक्षवाद तथा अस्तित्ववाद, सारे एवं अनुभूतियों को इंद्रियों की सीमा में पकडे-जकड़े रहने के बालहठ पर अड़ गए। आध्यात्मिक विचारधारा से उनके वैर-विरोध का कारण उनका यही अज्ञान रहा।
